We have always said
that eating healthy foods will
surely help you lose weight. And anytime someone may ask what constitutes
healthy foods? My personal opinion of healthy foods is the
green vegetable foods and fresh fruits. These I call the clean foods as
they are clean, very low in calories and do not have residues after eating
them. Unlike the elevated calorie foods and its fatty cousins that always leave
bad residues of waste in your system, vegetables and fruits do not leave such
residues that are why I see vegetables and fruits as healthy foods.
On the meaty side, clean foods include foods like turkey, chicken and fish.
These meats are low
in calories and fat compared to raw beef. Lentils, peas, and dry beans are also
passing as clean foods. When someone starts eating from the lean meat and green
vegetable foods listed above, they will start losing weight just because of the
fact that fruits, vegetables, and whole grain foods have very high
concentration of complex carbohydrates and fiber in them which the body can
absorb them slowly and thus cause our hunger pangs to be satisfied quickly and
efficiently.
The problem processed
foods is that because their nutritional values are really low and the fact that
they do not make us feel full easily like when you eat natural foods, they do not make us feel
satisfied and this like addiction also causes us to want to eat more of it when
we know for sure that it is against our weight loss or
maintenance goals. I once read a book about natural foods and
I remember that the author said in that book that bad foods like drugs are able
to leave behind all of their unhealthy residue of waste behind after eating
them so that as the residues stay in our system, it definitely causes us to
want to eat more to cover up the poisoning effect of that residues. If you see,
when we are not eating, our stomach gets into the mode for cleansing and when
it is happening, the poisons are all bubbled up from the tissues of our stomach
into the surface.
I,m going to give you
a delicious healthy recipe that you should try at home and I hope you enjoy it.
